“Cause and Effect: the Dynamics of Causation And Damages in International Arbitration,” organized in collaboration with ILA Italy.
The event will take place on May 20, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Largo Gemelli 1, Milan) and will feature two panels addressing key issues on damages and causation in international arbitration.
The first panel will focus on the legal principles governing damages and causation in both commercial and investment arbitration. We will hear from Hussein Haeri KC (Withers), Inka Hanefeld (HANEFELD) and Makane Moïse Mbengue (University of Geneva), moderated by Domenico Di Pietro FCIArb (Di Pietro Arbitration).
The second panel will address the expert’s role in establishing and challenging causation in international arbitration. Speakers will include Kate Brown de Vejar (DLA Piper), Andrea Cardani (AlixPartners), Laura Cózar (Accuracy) and Claire Morel de Westgaver (Ontier LLP), moderated by Barbara Concolino (BonelliErede).
Noah Rubins KC (Freshfields) will deliver a keynote closing speech.
